Overview
The goal of the Canadian Breast Practices is to improve uniform approaches by providers to provide individualized care to patients related to breast health and breast cancer screening.
A multi-disciplinary group of screening experts undertook a rigorous consensus-development process to develop “Best Practices” related to breast health and breast cancer screening, based on best available evidence and guidelines. This led to several recommendations across 5 categories and development of companion resources.
All items underwent external review. Best Practice statements were put forth if 80% or greater voted to “recommend” the best practice.
The Best Practices are designed for care providers, but are accessible to anybody who creates a login. We ask that you create a login so we can better understand who is accessing our site in order to continually improve it. We hope it is useful and look forward to your feedback.
